ALERT: Protecting Our Partners Against Cyber-Enabled Cargo Theft
ALERT: Protecting Our Partners Against Cyber-Enabled Cargo Theft

The safety and security of the global supply chain are facing a new and sophisticated threat. According to a recent FBI Public Service Announcement issued on April 30, 2026, there has been a massive surge in strategic cargo theft, with estimated losses reaching nearly $725 million—a staggering 60% increase over the previous year.

Criminal actors are increasingly using "cyber-enabled" tactics to impersonate legitimate brokers and carriers. By using spoofed emails and compromised accounts, these threat actors hijack freight and reroute high-value shipments for resale.

Our Commitment to Security

At Globe Transportation, we take these warnings with the utmost seriousness. We are currently actively working on this issue by upgrading our internal security protocols and implementing advanced verification tools to protect our clients, our drivers, and our reputation.

Mandatory Verification Policy

To ensure the integrity of every load, we are instituting a strict "Trust but Verify" policy. We require every partner to verify any deal, shipment request, or communication made in our name through the following steps:

  • Independent Secondary Verification: Do not rely solely on email. Always confirm load details via a direct phone call to our known office numbers.

In an era where the average value per theft has risen to $273,990, we cannot afford to be complacent. Let’s work together to keep the road—and our data—safe.
